/ / / gorgeous vintage tribal Balouch rug with its intact kilim border, unique geometric motifs and more open field design- she’s a special beauty! I love thinking about the history of old rugs-where in the world have they been? What homes have they lived in? There is a certain romance and mystery to these hand knotted pieces of art.

/ / / condition: very good vintage condition. This rug has a slightly organic shape to it, and some creasing. It has been professionally cleaned, restored and the headends secured, ensuring many, many more years of life. I highly recommend using rug pad with grip backing to keep your rug in place and to smooth out any wrinkles from shipping-using a rug pad will also protect your rug from damage, and therefore prolong the life of your rug. But really- get a rug pad! I have handpicked this rug specifically for its rustic, timeworn appeal. It may have other small imperfections- which is part of the charm of these old textiles.

/ / / pile: low/velvety

/ / / weight: medium (rug pad recommended)

/ / / colors: tobacco, royal blue, denim, tulip, bubblegum, dusty lavender, chocolate, espresso

/ / / The lighting conditions in the Experimental Vintage studio where these photos are taken are as follows: good natural light on a sunny Portland day. This rug may look darker or brighter in your own space, depending on the natural lighting conditions in your home.

>> this item will ship to you within 3-5 business days via FedEx Ground or USPS Priority Mail, and includes insurance. I am happy to ship this rug internationally-please contact me for a custom shipping quote. <<
