/ / / gorgeous vintage Persian Heriz rug with soft muted neutral colors, this rug is reminding us of California homes and beaches - she’s a special beauty! I love thinking about the history of old rugs-where in the world have they been? What homes have they lived in? There is a certain romance and mystery to these hand knotted pieces of art.
/ / / condition: very good vintage condition. There is a slight taper on one end from 9’4” to 9’2”. It has been professionally cleaned, restored and the headends secured, ensuring many, many more years of life. I highly recommend using rug pad with grip backing to keep your rug in place and to smooth out any wrinkles from shipping-using a rug pad will also protect your rug from damage, and therefore prolong the life of your rug. But really- get a rug pad! I have handpicked this rug specifically for its rustic, timeworn appeal. It may have other small imperfections- which is part of the charm of these old textiles.
/ / / pile: low
/ / / weight: medium/heavy (rug pad recommended)
/ / / colors: wheat, dusty rose, ice blue, lavender, chocolate, dark chocolate, yarrow, mocha, cappuccino, bone, potters clay, sage, old rose
/ / / The lighting conditions in the Experimental Vintage studio where these photos are taken are as follows: good natural light coming from a wall of large, east-facing windows on a sunny Portland day. This rug may look darker or brighter in your own space, depending on the natural lighting conditions in your home.
