/ / / gorgeous hand knotted vintage Turkish runner rug, a wide runner in muted colors like mocha, cappuccino, chocolate and soft cream with accents of pale sage and sky blue. The ribbon border is giving French countryside feels, relaxed and effortless - she’s a special beauty! I love thinking about the history of old rugs-where in the world have they been? / / / condition: very good vintage condition. This rug does have a slightly organic shape and tapers on one end from 5’2” to 5’0.5”. It has been professionally cleaned, restored and the headends secured, ensuring many, many more years of life. I highly recommend using rug pad with grip backing to keep your rug in place and to smooth out any wrinkles from shipping-using a rug pad will also protect your rug from damage, and therefore prolong the life of your rug. But really- get a rug pad! I have handpicked this rug specifically for its rustic, timeworn appeal. It may have other small imperfections- which is part of the charm of these old textiles.
