/ / / A rare vintage Tibetan rug- this one in a color way we haven’t seen before. Muted warm hues like maroon, garnet and oxblood are complimented by pops of marigold. These Tibetan rugs are made with a thick cotton foundation giving them a heavier handle and very plush feel- truly even more magical in person.
/ / / condition: very good vintage condition with tea stained fringe. It has been professionally cleaned, restored and the headends secured, ensuring many, many more years of life. I highly recommend using rug pad with grip backing to keep your rug in place and to smooth out any wrinkles from shipping-using a rug pad will also protect your rug from damage, and therefore prolong the life of your rug. But really- get a rug pad! I have handpicked this rug specifically for its rustic, timeworn appeal. It may have other small imperfections- which is part of the charm of these old textiles.
/ / / pile: thick/plush/soft
/ / / pile height: 3/8”
/ / / weight: heavy (rug pad recommended)
/ / / colors: shades of: garnet, maroon, carmine and oxblood, coral pink, marigold, olive brown, sepia, umber, smoke brown, old rose, tan, soft sky pink, cappuccino, beige
/ / / The lighting conditions in the Experimental Vintage studio where these photos are taken are as follows: good natural light coming from a wall of large, south-facing windows on a cloudy Portland day. This rug may look darker or brighter in your own space, depending on the natural lighting conditions in your home.
