/ / / A rare vintage Tibetan rug- this one with extremely soft wool and a unique design that reminds us of a snowflake. Its more earthy palette feels a bit more masculine and even feels like a perfect fit for a home with more midcentury style. These Tibetan rugs are made with a thick cotton foundation giving them a heavier handle and plush feel- truly even more magical in person.
/ / / condition: very good vintage condition, this rug does taper on one end from 3’0” to 2’11”. There is some areas of lower pile and an all over ombre fade as well. It has been professionally cleaned, restored and the headends secured, ensuring many, many more years of life. I have handpicked this rug specifically for its rustic, timeworn appeal. It may have other small imperfections- which is part of the charm of these old textiles.
/ / / care: vacuum your rug carefully, avoiding the fringe. Spot clean with warm water and mild wool specific soap. I highly recommend using a rug pad to keep your rug in place, it will also protect your rug from damage, and therefore prolong the life of your rug.
