This beauty has gorgeous 3 dimensional relief in the pile, meaning the pile is cut by hand around some of the designs creating a 3D effect. These Tibetan rugs are made with a thick cotton foundation giving them a heavier handle and plush feel- truly even more magical in person.
/ / / condition: very good vintage condition, with overall ombre fade and some color bleed throughout the center of the design making the colors appear more muted and smokey. It has been professionally cleaned, restored and the headends secured, ensuring many, many more years of life. I have handpicked this rug specifically for its rustic, timeworn appeal. It may have other small imperfections- which is part of the charm of these old textiles.
/ / / care: vacuum your rug carefully, avoiding the fringe. Spot clean with warm water and mild wool specific soap. I highly recommend using a rug pad to keep your rug in place, it will also protect your rug from damage, and therefore prolong the life of your rug.
