This beauty has gorgeous 3 dimensional relief in the pile, meaning the pile is cut by hand around some of the designs creating a 3D effect. It also has highly sought after abrash color variation throughout making it a truly collectible find. These Tibetan rugs are made with a thick cotton foundation giving them a heavier handle and plush feel- truly even more magical in person.
/ / / condition: very good vintage condition, one area of re piling repair shown in photos. It has been professionally cleaned, restored and the headends secured, ensuring many, many more years of life. I have handpicked this rug specifically for its rustic, timeworn appeal. It may have other small imperfections- which is part of the charm of these old textiles.
/ / / care: vacuum your rug carefully, avoiding the fringe. Spot clean with warm water and mild wool specific soap. I highly recommend using a rug pad to keep your rug in place, it will also protect your rug from damage, and therefore prolong the life of your rug.
