vintage Tibetan rug, 5'6"x2'10"
Measures: 5’6” x 2’10”
100% wool pile on cotton foundation
/ / / A rare vintage Tibetan rug- The more unique neutral field color and contrasting botanical design is easy on the eyes and perfect for a room with a monochromatic or subtle color palette. These Tibetan rugs are made with a thick cotton foundation giving them a heavier handle and plush feel- truly even more magical in person.
/ / / condition: very good vintage condition, with a taper on one end from 2’10” to 2’9” and a more organic shape overall. It has been professionally cleaned, restored and the headends secured, ensuring many, many more years of life. Examples of expertly done repairs may be pointed out in photos. It may have other small imperfections- which is part of the charm of these old textiles.
/ / / care: vacuum your rug carefully, avoiding the fringe. Spot clean with warm water and mild wool specific soap. I highly recommend using a rug pad to keep your rug in place, it will also protect your rug from damage, and therefore prolong the life of your rug.
/ / / pile: medium/low/soft
/ / / pile height: 3/8”
/ / / weight: medium/heavy (rug pad recommended)
/ / / colors: charcoal black, smoke brown, pale apricot, beige, old rose, buttercream, ivory, faded bubblegum pink, cornsilk, pale peach
/ / / Lighting conditions in the Experimental Vintage studio: good natural light coming from a wall of large, south-facing windows on a sunny Portland day. This rug may look darker or brighter in your own space.
