vintage Tibetan rug, 4'8"x3'0"

$1,188.00
sold out

Measures: 4’8” x 3’0” (tapers to 2’8”)

100% wool pile on cotton foundation

/ / / A rare vintage Tibetan rug- this one in lovely more muted and earthy shades. These Tibetan rugs are made with a thick cotton foundation and high quality highland sheep wool giving them a heavier handle and plush feel- truly even more magical in person.

/ / / condition: very good vintage condition with a lovely ombre fade and more organic shape. This rug does taper on one end from 3’0” to 2’8”. It has been professionally cleaned, restored and the headends secured, ensuring many, many more years of life. I have handpicked this rug specifically for its rustic, timeworn appeal. It may have other small imperfections- which is part of the charm of these old textiles.

/ / / care: vacuum your rug carefully, avoiding the fringe. Spot clean with warm water and mild wool specific soap. I highly recommend using a rug pad to keep your rug in place, it will also protect your rug from damage, and therefore prolong the life of your rug.

/ / / pile: soft/medium/plush

/ / / pile height: 3/8”

/ / / weight: medium (rug pad recommended)

/ / / colors: espresso, cocoa, smoke brown, chocolate, mocha, cappuccino, tangerine, orange, salmon, peach, bubblegum pink, taupe, shell pink

/ / / The lighting conditions in the Experimental Vintage studio where these photos are taken are as follows: good natural light coming from a wall of large, south-facing windows on a cloudy Portland day. This rug may look darker or brighter in your own space, depending on the natural lighting conditions in your home.
