/ / / A rare vintage Tibetan dragon rug- this one in an all-over deep indigo blue with two playful dueling dragons. These Tibetan rugs are also made with a thick cotton foundation giving them a heavier handle and plush feel- truly even more magical in person.
/ / / condition: good vintage condition with tea stained fringe. There is a slight taper on one end from 3’1” to 3’0”. And this rug also has some curling along the outer edges which can be remedied using carpet specific tape and a rug pad, it has been priced accordingly. It has been professionally cleaned, restored and the headends secured, ensuring many, many more years of life. I highly recommend using rug pad with grip backing to keep your rug in place and to smooth out any wrinkles from shipping-using a rug pad will also protect your rug from damage, and therefore prolong the life of your rug. But really- get a rug pad! I have handpicked this rug specifically for its rustic, timeworn appeal. It may have other small imperfections- which is part of the charm of these old textiles.
