vintage Tibetan rug, 5'9"x2'8"

$1,288.00
sold out

Measures: 5’9” x 2’8” (tapers to 2’5”)

100% wool pile on cotton foundation

/ / / A rare vintage Tibetan rug- this runner style has an all over design that draws the eye and leads the way. A perfect pick to brighten up a hallway or add to your bedside. These Tibetan rugs are made with a thick cotton foundation giving them a heavier handle and plush feel- truly even more magical in person.

/ / / condition: very good vintage condition, this rug does taper on one end 2’8” to 2’5” giving it a slight flare. It has been professionally cleaned, restored and the headends secured, ensuring many, many more years of life. I have handpicked this rug specifically for its rustic, timeworn appeal. It may have other small imperfections- which is part of the charm of these old textiles.

/ / / care: vacuum your rug carefully, avoiding the fringe. Spot clean with warm water and mild wool specific soap. I highly recommend using a rug pad to keep your rug in place, it will also protect your rug from damage, and therefore prolong the life of your rug.

/ / / pile: medium/thick/plush

/ / / pile height: 3/8”

/ / / weight: medium/heavy (rug pad recommended)

/ / / colors: coral pink, salmon pink, wild salmon, charcoal black, bubble gum pink, hot pink, powder pink, mango, sand, bone, cappuccino, potters clay, garnet, canary yellow

/ / / The lighting conditions in the Experimental Vintage studio where these photos are taken are as follows: good natural light coming from a wall of large, south-facing windows on a sunny Portland day. This rug may look darker or brighter in your own space, depending on the natural lighting conditions in your home.
