The extra plush pile on this beauty makes it perfect for the bedroom or anywhere you will be often with bare feet. Tibetan rugs are also made with a thick cotton foundation giving them a heavier handle and plush feel.
/ / / condition: good vintage condition with tea stained fringe. This rug has some shedding due to the longer pile. It also has areas of re-piling repairs throughout, please see photos, it has been priced accordingly. It has been professionally cleaned, restored and the headends secured, ensuring many, many more years of life. I highly recommend using rug pad with grip backing to keep your rug in place and to smooth out any wrinkles from shipping-using a rug pad will also protect your rug from damage, and therefore prolong the life of your rug. But really- get a rug pad! I have handpicked this rug specifically for its rustic, timeworn appeal. It may have other small imperfections- which is part of the charm of these old textiles.
