vintage Persian Kerman area rug, 9'3"x6'6"
Measures: 9’3” x 6’6” (tapers to 8’10” x 6’5”)
100% wool pile on cotton foundation
/ / / This lovely vintage Persian Kerman area rug has more soft muted colors and an ornate design. This rug has a heavier handle and lower pile making it suitable for even a higher traffic area, busy household or even ideal for the dining room.
/ / / condition: very good vintage condition, with some expertly done re-piling repairs and a more organic, non rectangular shape. This rug does taper in both length (9’3” to 8’10”) and width (6’6” to 6’5”). It has been professionally cleaned, restored and the headends secured, ensuring many, many more years of life. I have handpicked this rug specifically for its rustic, timeworn appeal. It may have other small imperfections- which is part of the charm of these old textiles.
/ / / care: vacuum your rug carefully, avoiding the fringe. Spot clean with warm water and mild wool specific soap. I highly recommend using a rug pad to keep your rug in place, it will also protect your rug from damage, and therefore prolong the life of your rug.
/ / / pile: low/zero
/ / / pile height: 1/4”
/ / / weight: heavy/sturdy (rug pad recommended)
/ / / colors: wine, garnet, oxblood, olive sand, beige grey, slate blue, smoke blue, french blue, denim, sage green, pale sea foam, gold, wheat, indigo, chocolate, old rose
/ / / The lighting conditions in the Experimental Vintage studio where these photos are taken are as follows: good natural light coming from a wall of large, south-facing windows on a partly cloudy Portland day. This rug may look darker or brighter in your own space, depending on the natural lighting conditions in your home.
