/ / / A beautiful and rare vintage Northwest Persian rug with deep terra cotta hues and faded slate blues amongst an un-dyed wool field. Notice the multidirectional birds that welcome you from either way while stepping onto the soft pile of the rug. A truly unique and rare beauty.
/ / / condition: very good vintage condition. This rug tapers slightly on one end from 3’6” to 3’5” with a lovely ombre fade and some expertly done repair work to one shoulder. It has been professionally cleaned, restored and the headends secured, ensuring many, many more years of life. I highly recommend using rug pad with grip backing to keep your rug in place and to smooth out any wrinkles from shipping-using a rug pad will also protect your rug from damage, and therefore prolong the life of your rug. But really- get a rug pad! I have handpicked this rug specifically for its rustic, timeworn appeal. It may have other small imperfections- which is part of the charm of these old textiles.
