vintage Indian Gabbeh rug, 3'2"x1'11"

$318.00

Measures: 3’2” x 1’11”

100% wool pile on cotton foundation

/ / / A rare vintage Indian Gabbeh rug, these rugs are known for extra thick and plush wool pile and unique often figural motifs. This little rug is extremely thick and has a sturdy foundation, it will be perfect for a high traffic area or anywhere you might often stand for long periods like at the kitchen sink.

/ / / condition: very good vintage condition, this rug must have a one point had a tag or label adhered to the backside, please see photo #10 for reference. It has been professionally cleaned, restored and the headends secured, ensuring many, many more years of life. I have handpicked this rug specifically for its rustic, timeworn appeal. It may have other small imperfections- which is part of the charm of these old textiles.

/ / / care: vacuum your rug carefully, avoiding the fringe. Spot clean with warm water and mild wool specific soap. I highly recommend using a rug pad to keep your rug in place, it will also protect your rug from damage, and therefore prolong the life of your rug.

/ / / pile: medium/plush/thick

/ / / pile height: 1/2”

/ / / weight: very heavy/extra sturdy (rug pad recommended)

/ / / colors: denim blue, slate blue, wheat, charcoal

/ / / The lighting conditions in the Experimental Vintage studio where these photos are taken are as follows: good natural light coming from a wall of large, south-facing windows on a cloudy Portland day. This rug may look darker or brighter in your own space, depending on the natural lighting conditions in your home.
