/ / / A lovely vintage Chinese rug, this more neutral and soft color border design is truly rare. We just love the simplicity of the undyed wool field and whimsy feel in its figural elements.
/ / / condition: very good vintage condition, with repairs to the foundation in the center area which shows zero pile, shown in photo #10. This rug also tapers from 2’6” down to 2’5” on one end. It has been professionally cleaned, restored and the headends secured, ensuring many, many more years of life. Examples of expertly done repairs may be pointed out in photos. It may have other small imperfections- which is part of the charm of these old textiles.
/ / / care: vacuum your rug carefully, avoiding the fringe. Spot clean with warm water and mild wool specific soap. I highly recommend using a rug pad to keep your rug in place, it will also protect your rug from damage, and therefore prolong the life of your rug.
