/ / / gorgeous hand knotted vintage tribal Balouch rug with muted earthy neutral palette and a simple geometric design in the feild- she’s a special beauty! I love thinking about the history of old rugs-where in the world have they been? What homes have they lived in? There is a certain romance and mystery to these hand knotted pieces of art.
/ / / condition: very good vintage condition. There are some repairs made to the rug we have noted some in photos, it also tapers on one end from 3’8” to 3’6”, this rug has been priced accordingly. This rug has been professionally cleaned, restored and the headends secured, ensuring many, many more years of life. I highly recommend using rug pad with grip backing to keep your rug in place and to smooth out any wrinkles from shipping-using a rug pad will also protect your rug from damage, and therefore prolong the life of your rug. But really- get a rug pad! I have handpicked this rug specifically for its rustic, timeworn appeal. It may have other small imperfections- which is part of the charm of these old textiles.
