antique Turkish area rug, 15'4"x10'2"

$8,888.00

Measures: 15’4” x 10’2”

100% wool pile on wool foundation

/ / / This antique Turkish area rug is one of the largest rugs to come through our studio in a long time. Soft subtle colors like gold and champagne and a shimmery wool reflect the light and give the most luxurious feel and also keep things feeling neutral and open for so many other design choices.

/ / / condition: very good antique condition, areas of natural wear and expertly done repairs throughout, see photos for reference. It has been professionally cleaned, restored and the headends secured, ensuring many, many more years of life. I have handpicked this rug specifically for its rustic, timeworn appeal. It may have other small imperfections- which is part of the charm of these old textiles.

/ / / care: vacuum your rug carefully, avoiding the fringe. Spot clean with warm water and mild wool specific soap. I highly recommend using a rug pad to keep your rug in place, it will also protect your rug from damage, and therefore prolong the life of your rug.

/ / / pile: low/velvety/zero in some places

/ / / pile height: 1/4”

/ / / weight: medium (rug pad recommended)

/ / / colors: champagne, pale sallow green, fuzzy peach, fades tangerine, sand, beige, pale gold, wheat, dijon mustard, salmon, burnt orange, pale tomato red, pale dusty rose

/ / / The lighting conditions in the Experimental Vintage studio where these photos are taken are as follows: good natural light coming from a wall of large, south-facing windows on a cloudy Portland day. This rug may look darker or brighter in your own space, depending on the natural lighting conditions in your home.
