/ / / gorgeous vintage Persian Lilihan rug with warm colors and a flowing all-over flower and vine design. It’s a plush rug and feels wonderful under the feet-and very sturdy for a high traffic space. I love thinking about the history of old rugs-where in the world have they been? What homes have they lived in? There is a certain romance and mystery to these hand knotted pieces of art.
/ / / condition: good vintage condition with an all over ombre fade. This rug is not perfectly rectangular, as seen in the photos and tapers from 3’3” wide at one end to 3’1” wide at the other. This rug has been professionally restored and the headends secured, ensuring many, many more years of life. I highly recommend using rug pad with grip backing to keep your rug in place and to smooth out any wrinkles from shipping-using a rug pad will also protect your rug from damage, and therefore prolong the life of your rug.
