/ / / gorgeous vintage 1940’s Persian Malayer rug with the most wonderful flora and fauna scene. Notice the birds in each corner-she’s a special beauty! I love thinking about the history of old rugs-where in the world have they been? What homes have they lived in? There is a certain romance and mystery to these hand knotted pieces of art.

/ / / condition: good vintage condition. This rug has areas of low to zero pile, as seen in the photos. This is not perfectly rectangular and tapers from 4’2” on one end, to 4’1” on the other. This rug has been professionally repaired and restored, with the headends secured-ensuring many, many more years of life. I highly recommend a non-slip rug pad to keep your rug securely in place, and to smooth out any wrinkles from shipping. No really get a rug pad!
